The criteria for a Lifeskills Link coach is:
1. A person that is over the age of 18
2. A person who is not currently involved in the criminal justice system
3. A person that the student has a positive relationship with
Having a coach can help students stay focused and gain a deeper understanding of the concepts covered in their course. Additionally, a coach plays a key role in guiding students to connect new insights and ideas with practical skills and behaviors. While assigning a coach is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.
